1. Our Privacy Philosophy

Local-First, Privacy-First. RapidForm stores all your form data, templates, and submissions locally on your device using the Hive database. We believe your data belongs to you - not in someone else's cloud.

We are not a cloud service provider. We do not operate servers to store your forms or data.

2. Information We Collect

a. Information You Create

All form templates, form submissions, photos, signatures, and location data you create within the app are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this information.

b. Device Information (Limited)

If you choose to enable analytics (opt-in only), we may collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• General usage statistics (e.g., number of forms created, features used)
• Crash reports (to help us fix bugs)

Important: Even with analytics enabled, we never collect:

• The content of your forms
• Photos or files you attach
• GPS coordinates you capture
• Any personally identifiable information from your forms

3. How We Use Information

The limited analytics data we may collect (if you opt-in) is used solely to:

• Improve app performance and stability
• Understand which features are most valuable
• Fix bugs and crashes
• Plan future features

4. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All form data is stored in Hive, a secure local database on your device
• Photos and files are stored in your device's secure app storage area
• Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, biometric lock, etc.)

No Cloud Storage

We do not upload your forms or data to any cloud service. Your information never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export and share it.

Encryption

When you export form templates to share with colleagues, they are encrypted as .rform files. PDF exports are standard PDF files that can be password-protected using your device's PDF features.

5. Sharing and Export

You have complete control over what you share and when:

• Form Templates: When you export a template, it's saved as an encrypted .rform file on your device. You choose how and with whom to share it.
• PDF Exports: Completed forms can be exported as PDFs. These are standard PDF files that you can share via any app (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.).
• Your Choice: We never automatically share your data. All sharing is initiated by you.

6. Third-Party Services

RapidForm uses minimal third-party services:

• Google Maps: If you use location fields, we display an interactive map using Google Maps. Google's privacy policy applies to map usage.
• Analytics (Optional): If enabled, we use Firebase Analytics for crash reporting and usage statistics. Firebase's privacy policy applies.

We do not use advertising networks or sell data to third parties.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Complete Control

You have full control over your data:

• View: All your data is visible within the app
• Edit: Modify any form or template at any time
• Delete: Remove individual forms, templates, or all data
• Export: Take your data with you in standard formats (PDF, .rform)

Analytics Opt-Out

Analytics are opt-in by default. You can disable analytics at any time in the app settings. This will stop all data collection (except for necessary crash reports).

8. Children's Privacy

RapidForm is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us and we will assist with data removal.

9. Data Retention

Your Device: Data remains on your device until you delete it. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data.

Analytics: If you opted-in to analytics, anonymized usage data may be retained for up to 90 days for analysis purposes.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app. Your continued use of RapidForm after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

11. International Users

RapidForm is designed for worldwide use. Since all data is stored locally on your device, no data crosses international borders without your explicit action (e.g., when you share a PDF).
