1. Our Privacy Philosophy

Privacy by Default. Relay is an interface to your AI models — not a service that processes or stores your conversations. All your chat data stays on your device and your configured servers.

We are not an AI service provider. Relay connects to LLM servers that you configure (such as Ollama, LM Studio, or compatible APIs). We do not operate AI models or process your prompts.

No analytics on conversations. We do not track, log, or analyze what you say to your models or what they respond.

2. Information We Collect

a. Conversations and Chat Data

All your conversations, prompts, responses, and chat history are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this information. Your conversations are transmitted only to the LLM servers you configure — we never see them.

b. Server Configuration

Your server URLs, API keys, and model preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not collect or have access to your server credentials.

c. Account Information (Optional)

If you choose to create an account (which is optional), we collect:

• Email address (for purchase restoration only)
• Purchase history (for license validation)

Accounts are not required. You can use Relay fully without an account.

d. Device Information (Minimal)

We may collect minimal diagnostic information:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Crash reports (to help us fix bugs)

We never collect:

• The content of your prompts or conversations
• Model responses
• Images or files you upload
• Server URLs or API keys
• Any information about how you use AI

3. How We Use Information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

• Validate purchases and restore licenses
• Fix bugs and improve app stability
• Respond to support requests (if you contact us)

4. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All conversations and chat history are stored locally on your device
• Server configurations and credentials are stored securely on your device
• Your data is protected by your device's security features

No Cloud Sync

We do not sync your conversations to any cloud service. Your chats remain on your device. If you want to access conversations on another device, you would need to export them manually.

Your LLM Servers

When you chat, your prompts are sent directly to the LLM servers you configure. We do not route, intercept, or store this traffic. The privacy practices of your LLM servers (Ollama, LM Studio, etc.) apply to data sent to those servers.

5. Third-Party Services

Relay uses minimal third-party services:

• Apple App Store: For purchase processing and license validation
• Crash Reporting: For app stability monitoring

We do not use advertising networks or sell data to third parties.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Complete Control

You have full control over your data:

• View: All your conversations are visible within the app
• Delete: Remove individual chats or all history at any time
• Export: Copy or share conversations as you wish
• No Account Required: Use Relay without creating an account

Data Deletion

Uninstalling Relay will remove all locally stored data including conversations, server configurations, and preferences.

7. Children's Privacy

Relay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Data Retention

Your Device: Data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Accounts: If you created an account, you can request deletion by contacting us. We will remove your account data within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app. Your continued use of Relay after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
